Combined electronic nose and tongue for a flavour sensing system

This paper has led to collaboration with School of Industrial Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain (Dr. J. L. Vivancos Bono - jvivanco@dpi.upv.es) and also to collaboration with Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China (Prof. H. Chen - hjchenzj@hotmail.com). There were two visits from the above collaborators to Warwick, both resulting in published papers and in turn application for BBSRC funding (£484k) for the development of smart microsensors for real-time monitoring of plant volatiles (joint proposal with the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences at Aberystwyth University, Dr. L. A. J. Mur - lum@aber.ac.uk).
