Double-weighted statement

In terms of scale, the book is extensive, reporting on a three-year, Leverhulme Trust funded qualitative project on ethnic minority youth politics, a topic and approach that are significantly under-represented in published research. The qualitative work was extensive, involving the collection of primary ethnographic data from ‘hard to reach’ Muslim and ethnic minority groups in the two case-study cities of Bradford and Birmingham. In terms of scope, the book comprises nine chapters which, although interlinked, also make stand-alone contributions to a range of academic and public policy debates, spanning widely across the fields of political sociology, ethnicity studies and human geography.
