Additional information

This paper presents novel experiments that deal with combining misalignment and having separate controllers for the data system to optimise the I/O performance. This has led to significant findings that will be used as architecture selection criteria in fibre channel (FC) and SCSI based storage systems for database virtual environment. A system with improved efficacy and reduced latency, based on the findings, has been implemented by the IT department at University of Derby.
