Additional information

This paper describes the development of the first artificial fingertip which has similar mechanical properties of real fingertips. It has attracted much attention from different research areas: Berselli for robotics (Italy), Mylon for medical equipment (UK), Mith for product design (France) and Derler for textile design (Switzerland). The authors were also invited by Prof Melhuish, the director of Bristol Robotics Lab for an EPSRC funding for next generation robot.
