Additional information

As an output of the EPSRC MEGURATH project, this paper presents the first experimental proof of the effectiveness of using statistical shape models for 3-D facial expression representation. Together with the proposed method for building statistical face models from 3D facial database, the work has contributed to EPSRC TeRaFs project (EP/H024913/1) to study 4-D facial articulation and EU FP7 SEMEOTICONS project to develop an innovative face based health monitoring mirror.
