Additional information

This output arises from collaboration with the University of Lancaster and proposes a detector for characterising fast neutron fields, especially in environments where space and weight are constraints. It shows that Bonner sphere spectrometers can be replaced with a transportable single detector in certain applications including airborne measurements of cosmic ray fields. Complementary Monte Carlo codes were used to assess detector performance. The work has been extended into a design for practical reactor applications by Cai at the Institute for Energy Technology, Oslo.
