Digital control of a three-phase grid connected inverter

This paper proposes a sophisticated digital controller for grid-connected inverters to produce high quality output power. The work was carried out in close collaboration with a world leading company in waste heat recovery systems called Bowman Power Group, Southampton, UK. Bowman used this digital controller to replace their old analogue one. The controller presented in this paper was used in Bowman’s third generation of grid-connected inverters. Hundreds of these inverters were sold worldwide.
