This volume presents eighteen new archaeological and historical studies devoted to the results of the French-Syrian expedition at Europos-Dura (1986-2011), which pursued the exploration of the site after the famous expeditions of F. Cumont (1922-1924) and M I. Rostovtzeff (1928-1937). G Coqueugniot’s chapters deal with the site’s religious and public landscape: they present her her fieldwork in a Palmyrenian sanctuary and in the agora, and her work on the desecration of the shrines.
