Additional information

The paper presents a novel experimental approach, focusing on the major factors escalating gradual loss of surface material and considering value, hazard, vulnerability and exposure to examine the wind driven rain impact on loss of aesthetic significance and structural integrity of heritage buildings, within a parametric framework., The work has elicited interest from the scientific community and has been flagged for its direct impact by several reports on the Research Council funded Living With Environmental Change website. The National Trust has taken up the proposed approach to review the vulnerability of their building assets portfolio.
