Additional information

This paper presented the first clinically relevant nuclear medicine images produced by a camera of this type. Compton cameras are considered a future leading technology for imaging patients but have not yet been demonstrated in a clinically relevant setting. This paper presented images of nuclear medicine phantoms that demonstrated spatial resolution 3 times better than current technology. This paper was selected as one of the top 10 publications in Physics in Medicine and Biology for 2011. The work was done by one of my PhD students under my guidance.
