Additional information

Ad-hoc wireless technology is now attracting significant interest for industrial control because of its low cost. Here a new codesign philosophy is proposed which embraces both feedback control and the effects of uncertain wireless communications. This permits the effects of this wireless protocol on control performance to be properly quantified. This design approach has been applied in two EPSRC research contracts involving Airbus and colleagues from Sheffield, Leicester and Warwick on flow control for aircraft, EP/G038090/1, EP/F00477X1.
