Additional information

<19> This paper describes how users can submit their personal data to the cloud along with their own sticky privacy policies, and the cloud authorisation system will enforce these policies including after transfer to another cloud provider. The system was developed in the EC TAS3 Integrated Project (€10M, 2008-11), in which Kent (€1M) led the authorisation and authentication work package. The open source implementation is available as part of PERMIS [Output 1]. This paper is the culmination of several earlier conference papers including the well-cited “Enforcing sticky security policies throughout a distributed application” (2008 ACM workshop on Middleware Security).
