Additional information

A referee for Physical Review E (contact Editor in Chief Gene Sprouse, email available on request) stated that the new results help to clarify the topic and provide data that should clear up the confusion and/or lead to additional studies that will do so. Such additional studies are underway. A recent paper by Christov and Stone (PNAS, www.pnas.org/cgi/doi/10.1073/pnas.1211110109) cites the work as contributing to a paradox between experiment and computation. The work is being extended by Dr Third (email available on request) and collaborators in the Institute of Energy Technology, Dept of Mechanical and Process Engineering, ETH Zurich.
