Additional information

This book offers a new radical reading of Hayek in the 21st century. Although part of the central argument appears in a different version in my article ‘Market Order and Justice in Hayek’s Political Theory: the Exclusion and Requirement of Substantive Politics’ (Social Science Information, 2003), this earlier work has been extensively revised and extended so that the book now provides: fresh interpretation of Hayek’s life and work; new critical approach to neo-liberal politics; interdisciplinary understanding of Hayek’s writings; original theoretical analysis of the market and the state; link to contemporary politics of development, especially after the 2007/2008 economic crisis.
