Additional information

The study of the failure mechanisms in T-piece specimens and prediction of their damage evolution are essential for the design of T-joint related composite components for fracture critical applications. This paper presented detailed modelling techniques and the failure criteria for damage initiation and delamination propagation. The work was carried out in collaboration with Rolls-Royce plc and the results are useful in the design of vans or blades of aero engines.
