Additional information
This work demonstrates a novel formulation of a popular modelling scheme, which when coupled to the Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation approach, offers benefits over current industrial methods. Reviewers indicated likelihood for widespread citing. The work was part funded by an EPSRC and a FP7 grant on Aerospace and two leading industrial software developers wish to implement this new algorithm. The PhD student was employed in the CFD department of a motorsport company and has since been awarded a Knowledge Transfer grant to incorporate this modelling approach into their design methods.
