Additional information

The paper describes one component of a suite of novel computer algorithms that have been developed in collaboration with the Whole-Engine Modelling Group of Rolls-Royce (RR), significantly advancing the reliability of design calculations for aircraft engine vibration attenuation. This work was funded by EPSRC grant EP/D054575/1 with additional in-kind support and collaboration from RR (165k GBP). It has secured follow-on funding for Dr Pham Minh Hai (21.5k GBP, PhD Plus). It has also contributed to the successful bid for a current EPSRC grant EP/ I029184/1.
