Additional information

An output from major collaborative research programme with Ingham in Biological Sciences which has led to development of novel tissue specific acellular biological scaffolds, with properties matched to those of the native tissue. Research supported by EPSRC EPG 01121721 and through the Wellcome Trust/ EPSRC Centre of Excellence in Medical Engineering. The international patent WO 2008/1059244, has been licensed to university spin out Tissue Regenix PLC (Fisher & Ingham 2006). The dCELL® partial meniscus biological scaffold is being commercialised by university spin out Tissue Regenix PLC.
