Additional information

<21>Other researchers are focusing their ongoing research on inference-based techniques as a result of our findings in this paper (e.g. [Hu et al., 2012]). Our reliance on user provided data to drive automated privacy features has also raised important questions about whether users are willing to share sensitive information with the service provider. This has encouraged the investigation of methods for protecting against potential untrustworthiness (e.g. [Atrey, 2011]). This work has also provided a performance benchmark for new inference-based techniques. CHI is ranked in the top 10 Computer Science conferences by Microsoft Academic Search.
