Additional information
This paper pioneers a method that realises and advances adaptive algorithms for large systems. In collaboration with CETUC/PUC Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, algorithms that perform dimensionality reduction of data to accelerate signal-processing tasks, and outperform the best known schemes are developed. The work resulted in funded PhD studentships with Roke Manor Research (steve.wales@roke.co.uk) and Bear Communications Ltd (Guo Zhiqiang) and provided the foundations for an EPSRC funded project (EP/H011544/1) on low-complexity beamforming algorithms for large sensor arrays.
