Additional information

Cine-Ethics: Ethical Dimensions of Film Theory, Practice and Spectatorship, is an anthology which Choi co-edited with Mattias Frey. She also contributed a chapter, entitled “The Ethics of Contemplation: Kim Ki Duk’s Arirang”. The volume consists of thirteen essays, all of which (with one exception) are previously unpublished works with a diverse scope of philosophical traditions and film practices. A comprehensive introduction (6000 words), co-written by Frey and Choi, discusses the range of ethical questions that pertain to various film theories and practices, and critically assesses the competing or complementary theoretical frameworks employed in the discussion of film’s ethical dimensions.
