This paper relates to an improved design methodology. Rolls-Royce have co-funded, through the Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Award scheme, a project entitled ROSETTA (Robust Optimisation System for Efficient Turbomachinery Topology-Design Applications) for a PhD studentship to implement and test this method within their aerothermal design system.
