Double-weighted statement

This monograph was the product of nine years sustained archival work, the beginning of which was initially funded by a Leverhulme Major Fellowship from 2001-2004. I took sole responsibility for all aspects of the research (which involved extensive periods of time in the Mass Observation Archive at Sussex, the Modern Records Centre at Warwick, and Qualidata Archive at Essex). This project also involved sustained collaboration with ESDS Qualidata and is my major statement on how historical, sociological, anthropological and geographical perspectives on social change might be synthesised
