Double-weighted statement

This book was my main focus for 13 years, from 1998 to 2010. It is based on a vast amount of archival primary material from Russia, the UK, Western Europe and North America - reviews have remarked on the 'extensive archival sources' (Slavonic & East European Review), saying it 'raises the bar with respect to research' by 'drawing on a wide array of sources, including 33 archival collections' (Revolutionary Russia). They note its scope, calling it 'an outstanding contribution to a number of fields, starting with Russian/Soviet history' (Revolutionary Russia), and as comprehensive (British Journal for the History of Science).
