Additional information

This paper resulted from an Energy Saving Trust funded project to provide specific guidance on the savings that can be realised and the potential thermal comfort improvements taken as a result of energy efficient refurbishment of housing. It was produced to provide academic output to a project which had significant policy implications. The work has generated significant interest from UK policy makers, including contact from individuals from Department for Business, Innovations and Skills (2011), Department of Energy & Climate Change (2009). This work has informed and enhanced subsequent research studies, including current work commissioned by the Scottish Government.
