Double-weighted statement

The text edition that forms the core of the research has been supplemented with a huge array of comparative material, painstakingly compiled over the past 8 years, much of it never before assembled and ranging in scope from the etimology of titles to the new spacial perimeters of post-Crusade Constantinople. The result is a complex and cross-disciplinary argument that allows the text in question to be understood in-the-round for the first time. The complexity of the argument, and the time required to collect and collate the material (on top of the time required to edit the text) merits double weighting.
