Additional information

<16> This paper is the culmination of a research programme on visually extracting structured data from query result pages. The novelty of our visual approach is that it extracts data from a displayed query result page based on their visual features only, rather than from either the source codes or DOM tree of the page as in prior approaches. Our visual approach is the first to use only visual features to extract data records from query result pages. This is opening up a new direction in Web data extraction.
