Double-weighted statement

This is a monograph of approximately 130,000 words. It consists of a sustained argument for a complex thesis, concerning a neglected category of affective experience that the author terms ‘existential feeling’. It engages with a large body of literature from a number of different disciplines, and contains research material equivalent to several journal articles. With the exception of chapter 8, which is a revised and expanded version of a 2005 article, none of the material was published before 2008.
