Additional information

The paper is the first demonstration of novel carbon nanotubes-polycarbonate composites with unique nonlinear optical properties. The composite was used for development of the first widely tunable passively mode-locked fibre laser generating picosecond pulses. This result was considered as a major breakthrough in fibre laser engineering and published in Nature Nanotechnology. The demonstrated technique of nonlinear optical composites was protected by “US8323789 B2” and “EP2057211 B1” patents and commercialised by CamLase LTD (http://camlase.com/) for creation of different fibre lasers. CEO and Managerial director of the CamLase is Dr Frank Wang (E-mail: f.wang@camlase.com).
