Additional information
<23>This is the first application of inductive logic programming (ILP) to activity analysis in computer vision. Using a qualitative spatio-temporal representation for object interaction, ILP is demonstrated effective, with rapidly growing impact: (i) it led directly to the major EU project RACE (2011-2014, €3M) that is extending the approach to learn about robotic interaction with the environment; (ii) it was central to the definition of project Vigil (2010-2013, $570k to Leeds), part of DARPA’s Minds Eye programme, led by SRI; and (iii) it has already led to a further publication reporting on an extension (DOI:10.1007/978-3-642-31951-8_14).
