<02>This is the first paper to introduce risk-aware brokerage for Service Level Agreements and its implementation for Service Oriented Architectures. The research (funding EU AssessGrid, €1.9m) was commended by the EU commission panel in their final report as "especially impressive". Our implementation of the brokerage system led to (i) the system being used during Web Services Agreement standardisation efforts at the Open Grid Forum (GFD-R-P.107); (ii) a new research direction in cloud computing brokerage and dependable sociability (funding EU OPTIMIS, €7.1m) and (iii) a partnership with BT to expand and commercially exploit the brokerage system (dissemination expected 2014).
