<06> This well-cited paper consolidates insight into the technical and operational challenges of running an "in the wild" Wireless Mesh Network deployment (Queen's Anniversary Prize winning) as a community network resource and testbed facility around the village of Wray in Lancashire. The work has had a major impact on the local community, and businesses have used it as a blue-print for their own Wireless Mesh deployments. The work has been widely featured in the media (press and BBC) and has been acknowledged as informing the work of the MPs responsible for developing the Government's broadband rollout strategy.
