Additional information

The quality of the crude oil is diminishing and the specifications on the quality of the products are becoming stricter A novel mathematical modelling and optimisation technique with potential to address these practical issues is presented. The reduced models developed in this work were used by researchers at Carnegie-Mellon University for refinery planning. This work was part of an EPSRC funded project on energy efficiency. The work was invited as a full length journal paper from a conference oral presentation.
