Additional information
This paper demonstrates for the first time the design and excellent performance of a microchannel continuous flow reactor based on a commercial platform (Vapourtec) for ozonolysis. The developed system and methodology was utilised at the GSK research centre at Stevenage to synthesise commercial important compounds. It proved to be robust and have better specifications than the commercial O-cube system. Given the utility and convenience of this approach, GSK took the decision to put together an in-house ozonolysis flow set-up based on the UCL approach (contact Mr Rob Wheeler at GSK : Rob.C.Wheeler@gsk.com)
