Additional information

This paper proposes a methodology for multi-objective/multi-point design of turbomachinery. It resulted in an industrial consortium [needs name] IDOE in Asia to apply this methodology to practical designs with a number of major companies joining the consortium, e.g. Aisin AW (torque converters), Ebara Corporation (Pumps). It has also led to a strategic partnership between Advanced Design Technology Ltd (UCL spin out company) and Dessault Systems Simulia. A computational code based on the methodology described has been commercialized by the UCL spin out Advanced Design Technology Ltd ( www.adtechnology.co.uk).
