Additional information

A model was developed for predicting aeroacoustics of wind turbines based on permeable Ffowcs-Willliams Hawkins model. The model was validated using available experimental data and then used to predict the influence of wind speed and rpm on noise levels from the well documented National Renewable Energy Laboratory NREL-VI wind turbine. The developed model has been used for 3D automatic optimization of wind turbine blade profiles for maximum power and low noise.
