Additional information

When presented at their 2011 annual meeting, the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research honoured this work with a young investigator award for the first author. Following the conference, the work was selected by the Japanese Bone Society as one of just four discoveries presented at a seminar held in Tokyo in February 2012 to promote translation of basic research into clinical investigation. This is part of a body of work that led to an ongoing collaboration with Amgen to study the effects of Denosumab on bone regeneration in the human proximal femur (contact Cesar Libanati, ID_in_audit_file@amgen.com).
