This work has been recognised by seasoned development experts (e.g. Mansoor Ali, ID_in_audit_file@practicalaction.org.uk) as genuinely novel in promoting a more mature appraisal of the attitudes in slums beyond the somewhat "western" norms which are routinely advanced. The work led to a guidance note for Practical Action for their staff as it brings new approaches to integrated development.
