This paper contributed to the formation of a small start-up company (GR2L - http://gr2l.co.uk/). Follow-up funding for 1 year of a PDRA was awarded by the Cambridge University Technology Transfer fund, and from GR2L supporting part of a studentship (GBP26k). The work formed the basis of GR2L’s core technology at start-up. A second generation material has been formulated based on this work (patent application submitted GB 1305517.3), and trials with this material are about to begin at GR2L.
