Additional information

The main contribution of this paper is a method for simulating the full two-dimensional height map from practical line measurement data. The work is part of an on-going effort to develop a practical predictive model for road noise in vehicle cabins. The industrial partner is Jaguar Land Rover (contact: Malcolm Hardy; ID_in_audit_file@jaguarlandrover.com). As a result of this research, their understanding of road-surface characterisation requirements has been enhanced.
