<25> This paper was an invited contribution to the journal special issue comprising the best eight out of 259 submissions to the EPSRC 2005 UK e-Science All Hands Meeting. The work unites the products of two EPSRC projects (GR/R96231/01and GR/M96094/01) into a proposed ‘results pull’, as opposed to a ‘parameter push’, architecture for steering on the Grid. The architecture’s contribution to improving steering usability is investigated empirically.
