Additional information

<22>IF = 2.152. Published in one of the top journals in robotics. First European research paper in the area of rover-based autonomous science (all previous papers had been from USA). Results led to EU FP7 Planetary Robotics Vision Scout (PRoViScout) project (Grant No. 241523), total awarded 1.99M€, 11 international partners. The Autonomous Pointing and Image Capture (APIC) algorithm from this work is implemented for increased science data return during the ESA/Roscosmos ExoMars 2018 mission. This will be the first mission to Mars to use this type of autonomous capability (Jorge Vago, ESA ExoMars Project Scientist).
