<12>This paper tackles an outstanding problem in the area of iris recognition: namely, how to search efficiently for the matching iris code from a database. Together with the original inventor of iris recognition (co-author), we invented a novel search algorithm suitable for fuzzy data that contain random errors. The new algorithm is 300 times faster than the traditional exhaustive search with a negligible loss of accuracy. The paper is published in a top journal in the field.
