Additional information

The latest developments in photonics play a key role in the improving of density and performance of electronic components for modern all-optical circuits. Using advanced computer simulation methodologies, maximisation of performance and minimisation of product development time can be afforded. A Multi Resolution Time Domain (MRTD) scheme is proposed for the first time to model photonic crystal (PhC) devices for linear/nonlinear electromagnetic problems. Following this work, MRTD has been used to propose an improved frequency converter [IEEE JLT, 27, 21, 2009], and extended to complex nano-plasmonics [IEEE PTL, 24, 18, 2012]. This work is reported in "Computational Photonics", Wiley, 2010.
