Additional information

<25>Describes an agent-based simulation model of the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Sub-Saharan region of Africa, as part of a wider study into social complexity in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Addresses the relative lack of consideration of sexual networks in previous related studies, and is evidence-driven, being based on epidemiological surveys and accounts gathered during our own fieldwork. Cited in Bulletin of the World Health Organization: “ We need a greater focus on how interventions should be used in a complex behavioural environment…”; presents our paper as one example of how this can be achieved http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0042-96862011000900015
