Additional information

Changing Young Lives Through Media was commissioned by the Media Trust to map youth media practices across the UK and investigate ways in which activity could be delivered with greater strategic purpose. Dunford and Chandler were appointed joint project leaders in recognition of their expertise as academics, policy makers and practitioners. Their comprehensive research programme included a literature review, an online survey of practitioners, focus groups across the UK and in-depth interviews with key sector leaders. The recommendations of the final report were adopted by the British Film Institute on assuming responsibility for youth media work in 2012-13.
