Additional information

<28> PLoS Computational Biology is the leading specialist international outlet for research in computational biology. It has a high IF (5.3) and a very high rejection rate. Integrated Information Theory is the most prominent computational theory of consciousness. This contribution was recognised by Giulio Tononi, the founder of the theory, and led to Barrett being invited to visit his lab. It has inspired several world-renowned neurologists to share data with Barrett, and has played a significant role in him gaining an EPSRC fellowship (2013-16) to further investigate the relationship between neural dynamical complexity and consciousness.
