Activation energy paths for graphene nucleation and growth on Cu.
This paper is the first report of graphene growth kinetics on copper, now used extensively as a growth substrate. Key objective is engineering the synthesis of single crystal graphene over wafer size areas. In consequence Mattevi (lead author) gave invited international conference talk (“Graphene Nanophotonics” Centro de Ciencias de Benasque Pedro Pascual SP, March 2013), invited talk at international workshop on graphene (National Taiwan Normal University Taipei, Taiwan April 2013) and three invited seminars: Cambridge University (UK), Leiden University (NL), Padua University (IT). This publication led, in part, to an EPSRC grant (£1.6 M) where Mattevi is a Co-I, EP/K016407/1.
