Double-weighted statement

We believe that the monograph 'Liberalismo y romanticismo: La reconstrucción del sujeto histórico' meets Main Panel D's criteria for double-weighting in relation to the following characteristics:

1. the generation of a particularly complex concept or thesis

This monograph challenges persisting notions of a Romantic/Post-Romantic divide. It proposes a problematised reading of Iberian cultural history through discussion of literary, aesthetic and political/philosophical values.

2. the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material

The work of 40+ literary and intellectual writers is examined. The project has important implications for cultural history and historiography in Modern Languages, comparative literature and English.
