BioIMAX : a web 2.0 approach for easy exploratory and collaborative access to multivariate bioimage data
<28> In one of the top journals in bioinformatics, and consistently “highly accessed”, this paper presents a novel framework for the exploration and collaborative access of multivariate bioimage data. This has been employed by several international groups to host multi-tag bioimaging data for exploratory analysis and collaborative use. This research has also found application in visual data mining of colocation patterns (Kolling, Bielefeld), microscopy image segmentation (Wittenberg, Erlangen), toponomics (Evans, NHS) and histopathological imaging (Kothari, Georgia Tech). Research reported in [NR1] and [NR2] was instrumental in securing a BBSRC grant (BB/K018868/1) on the progeny of new beta cells in pregnancy.
